Top Team

On Tuesday our school participated in an event called Top Team. Top Team is when some people come in a run some cool activities for are team. My favourite activity was when we had to carry a bucket full of water over my head on a softball tee. I had heaps of fun.

Prep

At Grey Main School we are running the Prep programme. This is where we have a business and we make and sell products at a market day. The currency we are using is called the Kiwi.

My group is called the Business Bangers and we are making Fish in a Jar. We didn’t sell at the mini market as we did not have enough jars finished. I am really enjoying Prep and looking forward to selling our jars at big market next week.

The Lost City

This week Miss Tisdall asked us to write sentences about this picture. Here are my 

sentences .

1) I smell salt water in the foggy air.

I like this picture because it is cool and I could think of lots of ideas.

This week we got told to make a drawing from a piece of writing. I chose to write about Aphrodite when she was standing on a rocky cliff top. My favourite sentence was the one that I chose to draw my picture about.

Kahn's Ivan new domain

Today we had made a new domain for a Gorilla name Ivan. Ivan is in a book called The One And Only Ivan.

We have made him a jungle enclosure with trees and some meballs and a play area. 

Is it cheese?

Today we learned how to make plantic we had a big bowl  then first thing we had to do was to pour milk the bowl. Then we get the bowl of milk and put it  in the microwave for 1 minute. Next we added 4 tsp of vinegar. When we put the vinegar in it got a bit darker and once we mixed it, it curdled. (Curdling is when the milk clumps together) Then we put it in the strainer and squished the rest of the vinegar out. Now we have to leave it for two days to harden up.

It turned into plastic and not cheese because the vinegar was too acidic and turned it to plastic, To make cheese we will need to add liquid with less acid so it turns into cheese and we can eat it.

We are going to make cheese later to stay posted to find out more...

Science Fair Photos

This my Science Fair Photo of my group. Our experiment was to see  which plant will grow the fastest. This is that we used 3 cups . sand . soil . rocks . seeds . water. We found that the best thing to grow our plant in was sand and the worst was rocks. We really enjoyed presenting our experiment to everyone.
